Yet It Calls

darkness falls
i do not know it
yet it calls
the sound of the heart
beating for a truce
when you race
for the untold freedom
like the birth of the phoenix
rising from it's ashes

the wry line that creeps
has made soothers sting
a home roams
yes, a home roams
yet never nears
streets of doom
lighted by darkness
yet it calls

what restless peace
hath been found
light shines now
where night never sees
ladders cry
to try the sky
darkness falls
i know not it
yet it calls

the wind hushed
swiftly,but not rushed
what o' what fortune
hath been found
where does thou go
for still darkness falls
still i do not know it
yet it calls

The First Sigh

see the poor rust
for unto they
time has become dust
a cry everyday
the sorrow and pain
yet timeless
i hath no gain
they remain thoughtless

a gap so far
brings me so near
thou i knew
thee i know not
do the rich see so blind
no,they wish us hind
still the poor lust
to stay in their minds

all seems
so black and grim'
this wretched wine
that looks so kind
has made me dine
not with a wall
but with the poor

a life's worth
not much a brick
a day's work
a wizards trick
skeletons of time
a life without a dime
i pray thee
if i die
burn me
let me have a sigh.
